Holy Joke is an alt-country band from Chicago, IL. They are celebrating the release of their second EP.

Janet Blackwell is a musical artist based in Chicago. Her music explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery, with a sound that blends elements of folk, rock, and pop. Heavily influenced by the mysticality of 70s rock lyricism and its imagery, upcoming music has direct influence of the gritty Riot Grrrl movement–with a folk rock twist.

Dogcatcher‘s sound ranges from the loud and loose ferocity of a modern-day Crazy Horse to the pin-drop silence of a Big Thief show.

Chicago folk-rock band Dogcatcher began in 2021 as the songwriting project of Iowa expat Mitch McAndrew, who fleshed out his Midwestern drawl while writing and performing solo across the region. His one-man efforts culminated in 2023 with the releases of a self-titled EP and "The Situation at Piney Point." Later that year, Dogcatcher grew into a five-piece including Max Berg on pedal steel, guitarist Cody Nelson, bass player Jake Freeman, and drummer Robby Kulik — veteran musicians who bring out the snarling and the sincere turns of McAndrew's songwriting lead. The band's sound ranges from the loud and loose ferocity of a modern-day Crazy Horse to the pin-drop silence of a Big Thief show. Aiming to capture this energy, the band hit the studio in spring 2024 to record several live tracks with producer Henry Stoehr (Slow Pulp) as engineer. Dogcatcher's first full-band release drops in late spring with other singles to follow during a summer of shows in Chicago and around the Midwest.
