While currently residing in San Antonio, Clark was born in the Midwest, something he attributes his ingenuity and "no fucks given" attitude to. In concept, Sex Mex is punk music from a dystopian future, but as time goes on it becomes less of a concept and more "it is what it is." He is equal parts songwriter, musician, and audio engineer. He is also simultaneously hated by all three of those people. That's because Sex Mex is music for people, not nerds who play guitar... Doomzday Slutz - Drug rock for slutz that fuck as hard as they hate. Watermelon - Super sour punk from Chicago.

It is the year 2050, and genre is dead. What remains is a wretched chimera of jazz fusion, theatrical rock, art pop, and unadulterated absurdity they call A Casual Divorce. Almost thirty years ago, this quartet from the now-unlivable Arizona desert brought their gloriously unnerving vocal harmonies and face-melting lack of guitars to an unprepared world. They’re as pretentious as that one guy from your local coffee shop and as musically inconsiderate as the jam band your burnout cousin forces you to listen to every time he bums a ride. So enjoy your precious music while you can. Chrome Rhino’s style of rock n’ roll will dazzle your senses while stomping you into the dust like you are on fire - this adventurous and energetic Phoenix AZ quartet embody the escapism we’re all looking for. Their tunes combine the kaleidoscopic twists and turns of Electric Light Orchestra, the screaming guitars and lush vocal harmonies of Queen, and the playful wildness of Alice Cooper and Tenacious D. With their exciting live shows and innovative music videos, Chrome Rhino brings dextrous musicianship, eclectic songwriting that’s whimsical yet deep, and a generous helping of nostalgia. JJ Smith is probably letting out a heavy sigh somewhere. He writes music for people that suffer from yearning, heartbreak, and general angst. More commonly known as; Rock, Folk & Alternative. Side Note: He hosts a free winter music festival called Unsigned in Ravenswood. Because he believes you shouldn’t have to pay $300 dollars to stand 500 ft away from your favorite band.

Their sound—equal parts dense and delicate—channels the spirit of bands like DIIV, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Ovlov to carve out a unique sound where vulnerability meets volume. Hailing from the heart of Chicago, Illinois, Cartoon Graveyard delivers an electrifying blend of raw energy and dynamic soundscapes, unapologetically blurring the lines between grunge, indie rock, and punk.
Slow Slow Loris is a duo whose industrial noise melodies merge with visceral avant-garde to create epic and delicate storms of sound that worship the unknown, a sonic sorcery through voice and electronics. Based in both Berlin and the US, they have released albums on Cloister Recordings, Zaetraom, & Staaltape and have toured Europe, Russia, and the USA. Daniel Burke (Illusion of safety) is Soundoferror focused on making music exclusively with synthesis of every kind. Hardware, software, modular, & keys. Any form is fair game, though the forms usually tend toward the abstract and experimental. Heavy Pauses is a St. Louis experimental ensemble featuring Chris Boron, Mike Broy, Chris Smentkowski, and Rick Wilson, described as “dense synth transportation rituals” that blend heavy drones and improvisation into sonically immersive trance states. Featuring members of The Conformists, Brain Transplant, and SkarekrauRadio, the group pushes sound into intense, exploratory territory. DEATH PYRE is the combination of the St. Louis, MO/Chicago, IL avant goth duo AMPYRE and the Chicago, IL post-industrial/noise unit DEATH FACTORY. They have a trilogy of albums that were recorded in one day at Chicago's Experimental Sound Studio available on labels No Sides Records, Eh? Tapes and Bent Window Records. ANIMAL TALKING SCHOOL is the solo electronic music project of Richard Syska (SECRET MEANS OF ESCAPE, 312 Films). ATS's music weaves a sonic tapestry of carefully curated sound sources, field recordings and manipulations which strive to challenge the listener both compositionally and sonically. The music immerses audiences in an evocative sonic landscape that can be at various times mysterious, foreboding, aggressive and alien, while at other moments comforting, familiar and relaxed.

Oklahoma City continues to rise with a new wave of independent bands, and Honor Choir are at the forefront. Not only are they doing something different for OKC, they’re doing something different within today’s DIY music. While Blink-182 can be a common influence, Honor Choir push their anthemic pop-punk foundation further, pulling from early-2000s emo and post-hardcore touchstones like Hey Mercedes, New End Original and Rival Schools, alongside ’80s new-wave influences such as New Order and When in Rome. That range can be heard clearly on “Satellite Receiver” which moves from an abrasive guitar riff into acoustic guitar and piano, and the five-minute closer “Envelope” feels like it could sit comfortably on New Order’s Republic. Honor Choir has mastered combining their range of influences into something incredibly cohesive, and manages to fit a chorus into each song that gets stuck in your head. Hell of a Life is dark, heavy shoegaze from Chicago. Without any set in stone sound, Hoverboard explore the sonic landscape of whatever path they end up following. They don't fully belong to any certain genre, but have self proclaimed their sound as "aggressively dreamy." They've grown a reputation for energetic and deafening live shows; and to date have organized a handful of tours that have seen them play all across America. With no shortage of material, Hoverboard are a tour de force.
