Proxoxie is a blogger, taxidermy collector, fan fiction writer, meme account owner—and most importantly, a musician.
Proxoxie (pronounced however you like) has been active in underground online communities since the release of her debut single, “Benny Can You Feel My Pain,” in 2021. Originally from Michigan, she began performing in the Detroit SoundCloud scene in 2018 under various aliases, with early shows at venues such as the Maidstone Theater and The Shelter.
She debuted in the local Chicago hyperpop scene in 2021 and has since performed alongside artists such as Black Smurf, Slaywitme2k, Zootzie, and Hi-C. Most recently, in 2025, she opened for touring acts including Brokencyde, Sybyr, Acid Soulja, and more.
Proxoxie dropped her debut album Darling, It Wouldn’t Be a Party Without You… in collaboration with Austin-based mix engineer Dropcat. The album features appearances from Scottish MC Wee Pow, Dazegxd, and Ratrace90210. It defines and expands Proxoxie’s eccentric sound, blending niche genres like Makina, hyperpop, and breakcore.
That record brought a dose of realism—followed by Hotel Proxoxie, a genre-defying, nine-track collection that stages surreal journeys to self-acceptance in seven sinful acts over twinkling elevator muzak.
Her most recent release, everysecondeverymoment, is driven by texture, rhythm, and impact.
