Mellow Honey, Kay Zone, The Tracies

Embrace the psychonautic cerebrum-space pioneers, Mellow Honey! Tune out the dreary noise of the fluorine-powered mind campaign cast upon you by the elite. A glorious composition of acoustic propagation will carry you into a contemplative realm exploring the very fibers that hold together the reality of being. Join us in our exposition of human nature, the endless cycle of the work routine, and the modern day emotional anesthesia.   Kay Zone – Sounds like prog rock space junk flying at 10,000mph   also featuring The Tracies

Paper Hotel, First Electric, When the Wall Breaks Down

Paper Hotel is an experimental indie rock band- with themes of tension, push and pull, and vulnerability.   First Electric is the solo project of singer, songwriter, and audio engineer Ellis Korblick Jay. The project’s all-genre approach to music is reflected in everything it does, whether that be writing songs, putting together a band for a live show, or curating a bill. First Electric’s songwriting process relies heavily on sample based rhythms and sequenced electronics to craft songs that feature introspective lyrics and guitar playing that ranges from riffs to sparse harmonies. However, it’s not common for these original arrangements to make it to the stage. Leaning into the intangible nature of live performance, no two live shows ever sound the same. Defined by collaboration, live shows are the project’s opportunity to work with and highlight local musicians that have left an impact on First Electric and his music. Joined by a different line up for every show, First Electric works with the strengths of a given ensemble to push his songs into uncharted sonic territories. The project also aims to build bridges between the many music scenes in Chicago by putting together bills with artists of all sounds and styles.   When the Wall Breaks Down – Spontaneous, shapeshifting, ever-evolving improvised music from Chicago.

Daydream TV, RED•MAGE, SCUF, Cave Brain

Daydream TV –  Sappy & fuzzed out in your area ;^)   RED•MAGE – Experimental prog / psych-punk from Logan Square.   SCUF – Messy music for messy people. South Side noise. DOG GUITAR is a group of several local fREaKs bringing you queer punk chaos.   Electric Mothership is a Chicago-made, Afrofuturist psych rock band inspired by Funkadelic. They merge heavy metal riffs with psychedelic themes, over the top visuals, and radically inclusive energy. Their music is a call to action—equal parts sonic assault and alien rave. Dubbed “fierceness of femininity” by AfroPunk, lead vocalist GoldGrrl is a living vortex whose voice sucks in anything within earshot. Electric Mothership builds immersive, techno-spiritual spaces with cutting edge lighting and original songs. They have performed at Museum of Contemporary Art, Book Club, and are artists-in-residence at University City Church.   Ten Til Dead – We are a Hardcore Nu-Punk band ; people should come see us because we not only encourage the audience to dance but to come together and unleash their inner spirit, from dancing to building a community

Moth Cock, Tasha’s Hideous Laughter, Naturalblkinvention, Support, Paige Naylor

Moth cock is Pat and Doug good friends who’ve been making a goofy brand of noisey jazz music for the past 20 years.   Tasha’s Hideous Laughter is a freely improvised duo project consisting of friends Max Allison (Mukqs, Hausu Mountain) and Joey Meland (Cocojoey). Much like the project’s namesake D&D spell, they aim to stun audiences with uncontrollable laughter. Expect to be joyfully frozen in place by kaleidoscopic synth landscapes, piano improvisation, no wave breakdowns, operatic dreamscapes, shrieking hellscapes, and abundant sample chopping across a multi-act improvised set. The only rule is there is no rehearsal. We might get stunned too.   Support (Nicole Alonso and Melon Sprout) disorients samples and field recordings into the furthest edges of their sonic origination. Bending and flexing sound sources into scintillating glitches, and oscillating throbs, Support weaves meaning through meticulously textural, rhythmic, and atmospheric explorations.   Paige Alice Naylor is a Chicago-based experimental vocalist, sound artist. Through sound-making and performance, she investigates time, perception, the breakdown of language, and themes of death through electronically processed voice, multichannel sound installation, hardware electronics, tape loops, handmade electronics, and samplers. =RYN= will accompany with live analog video synthesis using glitch and video feedback to respond to sound.   Also featuring Naturalblkinvention
